North South is an excellent digital media development firm. Technically the firm has as complete a range of design and development skills as any top tier firm in the US. They are especially impressive in their reliability, timeliness and communication. Communication is particularly remarkable given their primary physical office location in Lima. This was an initial concern for my company but quickly was forgotten.
There are no major issues or areas for improvement. NorthSouth did not have prior experience working in digital music and thus was not knowledgable about digital music industry, technologies and databases matters. We were aware of this limitation and it did not affect the success of the project.
NorthSouth has an excellent project management process that utilizes regular communication cycles, including daily check-in. Our project was time sensitive and very complex. We requested a daily check-in for long periods to identify and mitigate any potential problems. This helped ensure an almost problem-free project (MediaNet engaged NorthSouth for 15 months over a dozen projects.
NorthSouth developed the infrastructure for a music royalty platform and rights holder database included a content management user interface application. This is a high scale platform the had multiple product requirements ranging from database development, content management systems (CMS) and reporting tools.

However, there are certain designs that are very hard to implement or that could be implemented in a different, much easier way. Sometimes, the engineers know those alternatives. It would have been nice if those engineers had recommended some changes.

They helped not only with this project, but they also had good suggestions about building a product video, which we put together on a shoestring budget. They were on budget and on time. Their project management and communications skills are good. They use Basecamp as a tool. Thatâs a product that I looked at maybe six years ago and started using. We brought it back into play, and Iâm using it for about 10 of my projects.

It was a partnership for the design of the application. They have an extremely clever marketing and user interface capability. Number one, theyâre affordable, and number two, we went in with a crude idea of what the intuitive interface would be. They had strong and interesting recommendations for moving away from the "blood and guts" perspective that might typically come out of a medical device. Our intuitive interface doesnât have opthosclerotic plaque or a heart shriveling to show what happens as people age, or they develop cardiovascular disease. But it's based on the concept of having a maple leaf change colors as it would happen during fall foliage.

The system also contains relevant information about partnersâ deals, while animation effects make interaction more dynamic and appealing. FullStack created a very powerful application in a relatively short amount of time. I've tried to work with partners in the past to realize this vision, but FullStack was the only group who came through and delivered. They were willing to go deep on the partnership, learn about the industry, and do whatever it took to get this new product created. We've run several successful campaigns on the application well and they were able to optimize and scale the app quickly to respond to some very high traffic loads.
We did have an issue with one of their developers during the project who moved on to another position. FullStack was able to switch gears and replace him without too much of an impact on the project.
There were a number of changing and evolving requirements that came up during the project. FullStack was able to solve these problems as they came up to keep the system running.
They built a dynamic creative ad platform that integrates with the display ad marketplace.
FullStack partnered with HLT to re-design and re-engineer a suite of mobile apps. Upon the relaunch, app sales doubled overnight and continued to grow until reaching the top grossing educati (more)on category spot in the App Store and Google Play.
