Does VenturePact charge any recruitment or contractual fees?

No, VenturePact is totally free for clients. We make money by charging our service providers for referrals.

  • We provide mediation services in case things go wrong and also help you transition to another company.

I am interested. What do I do next?

The next step is to scope out the requirements. You may either use our self-service platform or schedule a call to do so. Once we have understood your requirements, we will match you with 3-5 companies that best fit your needs and you will start receiving proposals within a couple days.

What can I expect after submitting my RFP (Request for Proposal)?

Once you have submitted your RFP, we will ensure that it contains sufficient detail. We then match you with 3-5 software service providers, who prepare proposals and pitch for your project. In the pitch, you get budget & timeline estimates, ratings and reviews of the services providers, portfolios and past client information as well as a customized pitch.

What happens if I am not satisfied with an engagement?

While highly unlikely, we understand that sometimes things don't work out. If such a situation comes about, we will match you with another company and help you with the transition.

How do you match companies to service providers?

We match companies using our matching algorithms with oversight from our client success team. In addition to filtering according to the kind of requirement (iOS, PHP) we also take into account location preferences, budget, stage of development, company size, specific domain expertise, and past experience (say you need a HIPAA compliant app - we will connect you to a developer with experience in HIPAA compliance).

What if I am unsure about my needs?

How do you screen your software companies?

We have quite an exhaustive selection process that includes screening a service provider's portfolio, interviewing its individual developers, talking to past clients and at times doing test projects.

Where are your companies located?

Our companies are located all over the world with higher concentrations in US, South America and Eastern Europe. However, we only match companies according to your geographical preferences. So if you want your prospective teams to be in the same time zone or in your city, then we will match you accordingly.

Describe the service providers on the platform. What services do they offer? What do they focus on? How big are your service providers?

Our service providers work in a variety of domains, starting from iOS development to Google glass app development, from Oracle's framework to SAP's. However, each service provider has its own strengths and we try to match you with service providers with a defined and demonstrated strength in your domain. In terms of size, service providers range from small 2-10 people firms to 1000 people conglomerates.

Can you give me a case study?

Lend for America wanted an app to support their non-profit initiatives. Being a non-profit, it was tight on budget and needed to build an app quickly to show progress to investors. They reached out to VenturePact with a rough idea of their requirement. VenturePact helped them define their requirements more clearly and found 3 service providers that had experience in payments and fit Lend for America's budget requirements. The 3 service providers pitched and Lend for America selected a company in India. The app was completed on time and within budget and the company had a successful launch of the product.

All of our vendors as well as each of their proposals are vetted for their pricing which ensures that you are not being charged exorbitantly or unfairly.

Can I get a trial period?

It depends on the service provider & the project specifications. While most of the service providers are open to trial periods, at times, the project is too small to warrant a trial period.
